Who we are and how to contact us

Wonderwall Art is operated by Keith Townley, who is the controller of personal information used to run this website, answer enquiries and fulfil orders. Correspondence address: Fence Av, Macclesfield, SK10 1LT, United Kingdom. Email: hello@macclesfieldprintingservices.co.uk. Telephone: 01625 720348. These are our shared business contact details. This is an online service; the correspondence address is not a walk-in shop.

Information we use and why

We use your name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, chosen artwork, order specifications, design approvals and messages to take steps at your request and perform our contract with you. Order, invoice and payment-reference records are also used to meet legal accounting and tax obligations. Security and access logs, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and complaint records support our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and resolving problems. Where required, optional marketing and non-essential tracking require separate consent. Buying art does not subscribe you to marketing.

Required form fields are marked. We may be unable to provide the requested service without essential contact, delivery or artwork information. Information normally comes from you, someone ordering on your behalf, or providers involved in payment and fulfilment.

Personalised portrait photographs

When you request a personalised portrait, we receive your uploaded photo, style choices and approval record. Your photo is sent to OpenAI’s image service to generate the artwork you request. AI processing can produce imperfect results; please check the exact finished artwork before approving it. Photos and generated portraits are not automatically published in our catalogue or used as a public portfolio.

Only upload photographs you have permission to use and share, including appropriate permission for anyone pictured. A parent or guardian should arrange any portrait of a child. Please do not upload identification documents, medical images or other unnecessary sensitive information. We use the image to create the requested artwork, not to identify people through a facial recognition service or make decisions about their eligibility for services.

On our website, original portrait photos are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours; unpurchased previews expire after seven days. Ordered portrait artwork is retained for up to 180 days for fulfilment and download access. You may ask us to delete a photo or preview sooner where it is no longer required. A saved-preview link provides access to your private artwork: keep it private and share it only with people you authorise. External providers and backups may have separate retention arrangements.

Who receives information

We share only information needed for the requested service with hosting and technical-support providers, WordPress/WooCommerce services, OpenAI for portrait generation, production partners, couriers and professional advisers where necessary. Production partners may need artwork, specifications and delivery details. Authorised staff and support services may access relevant records for fulfilment, maintenance or troubleshooting. We do not sell your personal information.

While invoice payment is offered, we receive order, invoice and payment-reference information; bank payment is handled through your banking provider. If another payment method is offered at checkout, its provider handles payment information under its own notice. We do not ask you to send full card numbers by email. Share buttons open your chosen sharing app only when you use them; that service then handles the information you choose to share.

Retention and international processing

Order, invoice and payment records are retained for the applicable tax and accounting period and where reasonably needed for complaints or legal claims. Enquiries are kept while active and for a reasonable follow-up period. Account information is kept while the account is in use or until deletion, subject to records we must retain. Security records and backups follow the relevant recovery and prevention needs. Deletion from the active website may not immediately remove a recovery backup.

Some technical and AI providers may process information outside the UK. Transfer arrangements depend on the provider, service and destination. Contact us for details of relevant countries and applicable adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards or other lawful transfer arrangements, and how to obtain a copy of relevant safeguards.

Cookies and your choices

Shopping-basket, login, security and requested art-studio functions use necessary storage. Other non-essential storage is subject to the choices shown in our cookie controls. You can accept, reject or customise optional categories and reopen the controls to change your choice. See the Cookie Policy linked in the footer for further details. Refusing optional cookies does not stop you buying artwork.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, withdraw consent, and object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Some records must be kept for legal, accounting or security reasons. We may reasonably verify your identity before disclosing information and normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions.

Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not use this store to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about customers. We will update this notice when our service or data practices change.
